The tour starts in Lisbon to Fátima where you will visit the famous Sanctuary. It is one of the largest pilgrimage centers in the world, built around the place where, in 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherds. After visiting the Basilica where the three visionaries are buried, the chapel of the apparitions and the modern Church of the Most Holy Trinity, we will have some free time to pray or attend the celebration of mass (optional).
A day dedicated to spirituality and medieval times. We start with Fatima, one of the most important shrines in Europe and its sanctuary, home to one of the largest pilgrimage centers in the world.
From here we will depart for Óbidos, a charming medieval village inside the walls, where we will have the opportunity to taste the typical liquor of the region: the “Ginga” served in a chocolate cup. Óbidos is the best example of the medieval city in Portugal. As we enter its walls of the Medieval Castle, we go back in time.

Stopping Place: Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima, Cova de Iria, Ourém Portugal
The Shrine of Fatima, formally titled by the Catholic Church as the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, is a Marian shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, located in the place of Cova da Iria, in the city of Fatima, municipality of Ourém, in Portugal.
The Shrine of Fatima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children – Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto – in 1917. Its magnitude and relevance from a religious point of view has long been consensually recognized, nationally and internationally. By the express will of the Holy Apostolic See, this is a National Shrine. It is also one of the most important Marian shrines in the world belonging to the Catholic Church.

Stopping Place: Obidos Village, Obidos Portugal
The medieval village of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well-preserved in Portugal.
Sufficiently close to the capital and located at a high point, close to the Atlantic coast, Óbidos had a strategic importance in the territory. Already occupied before the Romans arrived in the Iberian Peninsula, the town became more prosperous from the moment it was chosen by the royal family. Since King Dinis offered it to his wife Isabel in the eighteenth century. In the thirteenth century, it belonged to the House of Queens who, throughout the various dynasties, benefited and enriched it. It is one of the main reasons why so many churches are found in this small town.
