Description

This is the itinerary of medieval and romantic castles. Sintra is the first place to visit on this tour: a World Heritage Site, capital of romanticism in Portugal, it has been the summer residence of the royal family since the 14th century. Its humid microclimate helped the exuberance of the vegetation that was often extolled by the romantic poets of the nineteenth century. On this tour you will have the opportunity to visit several Palaces of Sintra and try the traditional confectionery.

100 km north, our tour will arrive in Óbidos, a charming medieval village within walls, where we will taste the typical drink of the region, “Ginja”, served in a chocolate cup. Óbidos is the best example of the medieval city in Portugal. Arriving inside its walls, we go back in time to find the old stone alleys, the houses with their secular facades painted white, the ever-active commerce, a countless number of churches built over the centuries.
